[Censored] this Pacer's team. We're having our worst season since 1998. I don't even know if we'll win 40 games. We're on a 6 game losing streak and tonight we're playing Utah so make that a 7 game losing streak. I haven't been able to watch the games (I'm in Africa) but I've looked at the box scores and read the game reviews and every night we're getting blown out. I knew from the beginning of the season that this team had no chance beyond a 6th seed in the playoffs and that we needed to pull a blockbuster trade. It's so frustrating to see Larry Bird and Donnie Walsh just sit around and say, "oh, we think this team is very talented, it's only a matter of games before we start playing together and becoming contenders'. Over the last two seasonb we've had teams that have won 40-45 games and have been average teams that are good, but not good enough to contend. Now, this year, it's even worse. We're looking like a 35 win team. And unfortuantley, like the previous seasons, we're not good enough to contend and not bad enough to get a good draft pick (of course we don't even have one this year - thanks to you know who). I've known from the beginning this was not a good team and that we seriously needed a change, the front office kept saying they thought we were good enough to contend, and now look, we've got ourselves in a huge mess. Sometimes I just wish I could be the GM of the Pacers. I could get the team to 60 wins and a finals appearence. I know it. It's so frustrating right now. :ranting: :ranting:

I'm just glad we got rid of Jackson. It's the rest of the team. Murphy, Dunleavy, and Jeff Foster are the only guys who are playing well right now.

He had a good game against Cleveland and a decent game against Philly, but you'll get those every once in a while. He'll fade right into obscurity again and start shooting like sh*t and playing without intensity. BTW, you guys are 8-16 since the trade, Warriors: 11-16 and have beat Chicago, Detroit, and the Mavs. Who's the better team?

O I can answer that question. The WARRIORS. Come on man give up. The Warriors play in the Western Confrence and Pacers in the East. Let has use our brains which divsion is harder. Western which the WARRIORS play in. The Warriors have beaten some of the best teams in the league. If you actually watch the WARRIORS games then you would see who got the better deal. You know that you just backed yourself into a corner. The WARRIORS got the better part of the trade. I bet you most people on this site and anywhere else would say that the WARRIORS got the better part of the deal.

I've been saying it for a while, Larry Bird has no idea what the hell he's doing. He didn't draft a difference maker, made a trade that made them no better, didn't address the PG issue in the offseason, what a mess.

Yeah no doubt they should have taken Rondo or Marcus Williams at #17 (or 18?). Shawne Williams is a decent prospect, but he's just so raw. He's going to need 2-3 years in the league before he is actually ready to play consistent minutes. I think Shawne Williams has a lot of nice tools, he's got all the nice looking track & field stats, but he's too raw. He's not what the Pacers needed at all.

The Pacers have been in a bad situation for a few years now. In my opinion, they need to blow it up this summer. I really think that. They need to trade Jermaine, try to get Tinsley and his back influence out of there, and start over. They have a few nice players, but nothing that jumps out at you. Jermaine has blown up in the papers at least 3 times saying he's not happy and that if it keeps up, maybe it would be best for him to go elsewhere. They need to start over.

Yup. Nice post there CelticBalla. I agree. We totally need to blow up. People always say that we're one or two players away from contending but it's obvious we're not. Heck, I don't even care if we trade Jermaine O'neal.
