<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">This was Brian Skinner's Hawaiian eye-opener. When the 6-9 free-agent forward/center's phone rang on July 1, in the midst of a vacation on the island of Oahu, it was agent Joel Bell telling him he would be returning to the 76ers.

That was the first day NBA teams were permitted to negotiate with free agents. Today, the first day teams are permitted to sign free agents, the Sixers are expected to reintroduce Skinner at a news conference at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, their training site.

Skinner, according to Bell, was expected to arrive in town last night, with a physical examination and a formal contract signing scheduled today. It is believed that Skinner has accepted a 5-year contract that includes the first four seasons fully guaranteed and the fifth partly guaranteed. The deal, at its maximum, could be worth about $25 million, with roughly $20 million guaranteed.</div>

i'll bet the sixers are paradise to him. We overpayed a player who should be getitng closer to 2.5 mill per year for what his game is. But sadly tho, this is really the only move we could make thanks to a great job of Billy King and our now horrible cap situation

Same ol', same ol' news. I'm happy to be here, I'm yearning to be coached by Jimmy, blah, blah, blah. Billy King screwed this up real big, giving him this much money, that's the only reason he's happy.

I think Skinner could possibly be a sleeper

welp when i got to see skinner play i saw promise.

The only thing that i have not liked about skinner since i have came to know of him is when he refused to go in a game becuz he was scared.

(all i know is this game was against the nets. Larry brown was still phillys coach. big moment that happened during game was the pwer went off at the stadium and the players had to play quater without lights i think. pretty funny)

I think that Skinner's shake-em-up gameplay would be very effective in Philadelphia. His exciting game will give AI plenty of different options, Skinner will Flourish in Philadelphia- MARK MY WORDS.

Skinner isn't overpaid. Every bigman in this league is getting paid the same amount because there's so few of them.
