While the 76ers aren't necessarily a strong rebounding team themselves, Thomas and Jackson aggressiveness and hustle should give the 76ers the rebounding edge. Granted on how many minutes Dalembert may receive, the rebounding edge is obviously on the 76ers side. However, if they give this advantage away, the Bulls can make them pay with those 2nd chance opportunities.
<ul>Attack The Paint The Bulls interior defense is a weakness and there is no real threat in the paint. Against the TimberWolves despite Iverson 10 FT attempts, Iverson rarely attacked the paint believe it or not. That night was the only time I've ever seen Iverson in his whole career intimated to attack the paint. For those who carefully watched the game, you would have notice that Iverson only attack the rim when Garnett was out of the paint momentarily. No matter how many times Shaq/B. Wallace blocked his lay-ups he always went back for some more. So that night was the first time I've ever seen Iverson being so hesitant. But this will NOT be the case against a lackadaisical interior defense team. So I expect Iverson to make a living at the FT line. But not only will Iverson have a field day at the line, Iguodala will as well, and granted on how much playing time Green receives he may do some damage in there too.
<ul>Team Defense/Gordon & Deng The 76ers perimeter defense was very, very poor in their last game. However, that was due to all the attention Garnett drew. But, in this case, there are no players that draw double teams, so the 76ers must look to tighten up their defense and there should be no excuse if the 76ers have an encore defensive performance. Now while they're not going to be focused on doubling anyone in particular, there is always a player(s), that you must keep an extra eye on. These players are Luol Deng and Ben Gordon. Gordon has seriously been heating up as of late, and Deng is having a fabulous rookie season. Now while they're very inexperienced and doesn?t pose as much of a threat, the 76ers should keep an eye out on them for precautions reasons because you never know what might happen.
<font color="Red">Chicago Bulls</font> <ul>Stop The Answer Allen Iverson is easily one of the best offensive players in the NBA. And despite his horrible game against the TimberWolves, he can easily for from zero to hero, or shall I say from 14 Points to 54 Points. Iverson and the 76ers had much success against this team and took the last 10 of the last of 11 games between these two teams. The last time Iverson played the Bulls he had a magnificent game, and hit a HUGE shot over Kirk Hinrich to put a seal over the game. So heading into this game, Iverson may have yet another huge game. The Bulls must look to put different combinations of guards on him. They can start off with the energetic Hinirch then may later on in the game, they must look to put a more physical guard on him, Ben Gordon would best fit that role.
<ul>Perimeter Shooting The 76ers perimeter defense is awful bad, and the Bulls must look to exploit that. They must knock their perimeter shots down and drive and kick the ball out. The Bulls has a nice dose of average perimeter shooters, so they must look to knock down their shots down.
<ul>Watch The Perimeter While this 76ers ball club doesn?t necessarily have the best perimeter shooters around, this team does have guys who could indeed knock down the shot. And even though they're most effective perimeter shooters such as Korver and Iverson has been struggling, they can easily catch fire. Also they must be aware, that Jackson and Thomas has also been feeling the perimeter shooting lately, so the Bulls frontcourt players cannot underestimate them and they must step out to the perimeter.
__________________ Probable Outcome: (Not My Opinion) The Bulls stunned the Cavs in their last game at home, and expect some of the momentum to carry on. While on the other hand, the 76ers have been severely struggling as of late especially on the road. They lost 8 straight road games, and they're only victory on the road was on the season opener where they barley got past the Boston Celtics. But then again the 76ers has a good track record against this ball club, and the 76ers are just flat-out a better team. But at the same time, if they underestimate the Bulls, the Bulls can counter and come away with the win. However, it's most likely that the 76ers will win this game.
I'm gonna say this is a close one. It can go either way, but I'm gonna go with Chicago, because we're at home against a team that has few wins on the road. Anything could happen, the outcome of the game will likely be decided on how Chicago's bigs play.
lol... as much as I wanna HOPE the Sixers will win this... who knows anymore. Corliss isn't with them tonight. I'm gonna say Sixers pull what happened in Atlanta and lose this and leave us with thoughts of what the F is going on.
I think the sixers will win this one if Korver gets hot and Iverson has solid stats in points and assists. I saw the tip dunk, it was a great play!
This is why we NEED to play Samuel Dalembert. He had like 14,11, and 6. IN LESS THAN 30 MINUTES!!!Maybe JimO has realized Josh Davis isn't helping the team very much. I definitely hope Sammy D playls like this the rest of the year, then he's the real Sammy D we hoped for during the summer
93 88, 76ers. How about Sammy? In his first start of the season, he finished with 13 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 blocks. Hopefully this will be a wake up call of some sort. I just have to say, it did scare me when Chicago cut the lead to like 5 points with 2 mintues to go, Chicago seemed liked they`re heating up. Next up, the 5-11 Bucks.

They have a chance to gain one more game closer to .500, but compared to three games closer which would have happened had they beat the hawks it really does not sound like much. I am proud of this team though they really impressed me with there play tonight. It was a good game nice come back by the Bulls to cut it to the close game at the end.
Damn,I didn't watch the game! Iverson dunked? Dalembert started and had huge game? Im so sad cause I didn't see the game! 6 blocks should be enough to say that Samuel has learned O'Brien's defensive system.
That tip dunk by Iverson was sick, too bad it didn't count because of goal tending. I was so happy when I saw Sammy Dalembert walking onto the court as a starter, it almost brought a tear to my eye Willie Green doesn't play and I have no clue why! This was the same guy last year that was showing us that he can be a potential starter and now he isn't even playing! Some games he starts and then he can have a game where Obie doesn't even play him! Same with Josh Davis, he will start one day and then Obie will play him 2 minutes in trash time the next. Dalembert looked like the Dalembert we saw last April and in the last months of the season, filling up the stat sheet with 13 points, 14 boards, and 6 blocks. He DEFINATLY should be getting more playing time and maybe Obie is going to give it to him. The Bulls have a nice young core, with Hinrich, Deng, Gordon, Duhon, Curry, and Nocioni. Unless they trade one of these guys like they did with Elton Brand and Artest, I would look out for them maybe in a couple of years.
I only got to see the 4tth quarter because I just got home from my school dance, but it was an amazing game. DAlembert 13-14-6 WOW nice game. VERY NICE GAME. I think Obie should let Sammy start the next game agsinst the Milwaukee Bucks. The Sixers need this win because they were lacking confidence and now they got some mback especially Sammy. Great defensive game by him. Replace Marc JAckson with Sammy for the Bucks game so that It looks like this C- Sammy Dalembert PF- Kenny tHomas SF- Kyle Korver SG- Andre IGoudala PG- Allen IVerson I think the Sixers got a nice groove on now and will beat the Bucks
I seirously hope this is what Sammy is going to be like the rest of the season. His presence can be the turnaround of our team.
