Eight Notre Dame football players, including the son of football great Joe Montana, were among 43 people arrested at a party in South Bend, according to televised reports in Indiana. At least one player, receiver Tai-ler Jones, is from Georgia. Police were called to the home after complaints, according to WNDU-16, an NBC TV station in South Bend. Authorities called for assistance from Indiana State’s Alcohol & Tobacco Commission after they determined some drinking at the party were under 21. It’s unclear whether all 43 arrests were for underage drinking, WNDU said. One person was sent to the hospital to be treated for hand lacerations, WNDU said. Among those arrested are eight Notre Dame football players, including Nate Montana, a backup quarterback; Lorenzo Wood, a cornerback and incoming freshman; Chris Watt, a sophomore offensive guard; Robert Toma, an incoming freshman wide receiver; Nicholas Tausch, a sophomore kicker; Tai-ler Jones, an incoming freshman wide receiver from Gainesville, Ga.; Steven Filer, a junior outside linebacker; and Tate Nichols, an incoming freshman. http://www.ajc.com/sports/8-notre-dame-football-572668.html
