Jason Kidd tallied 11 pts., 14 boards, 14 dimes along with 3 steals to record his 85th triple double in their loss to Philadelphia. Kidd, curently has a total of 10 TD's this season. With 22 games left, I expect him to get a few more. In a season full of disappointment, Jason Kidd defied criticisms, injuries and a divorse, proving himself once again that he is one of the greatest players the basketball world has ever seen.
is that all he wants? trip doubs? not to take anything away from kidd but if i were him id be really pissed to get a TD in a loss like that
Kidd is definently one of the greatest point guards ever, people who say Nash has had a better career than him are plain disrespectful. He's proven that even with all the doubts people have (he's old, he's injured, he's "lost a step or two"), he's still the best. Only 15 more to 100!

Kidd would take a win anytime over a triple double. But it's not something that Kidd plans. It's simply his game. Your remarks are way off.

Do you realize how many near-triple doubles the guy has had in his career? If he went all-out and played for the stats, then he could have passed Oscar Robertson on the triple doubles list years ago.

Like Oscar Robertson...

We all know their names, like Malone, Barkley, Stockton, Gervin, etc. Kidd's lack of career titles is more due to the situations he's been placed in than his inability to lead a team to that point, just like with all those other greats.
I wonder how much different Kidd's legacy would be if he had signed with San Antonio a couple seasons back.

<div class="quote_poster">kobe23 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">IMO he wouldnt get too many trip doubs LOL coz Duncan has almost all the Rebs </div> Maybe not, but the question is how many rings would he have?
<div class="quote_poster">kobe23 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">IMO he wouldnt get too many trip doubs LOL coz Duncan has almost all the Rebs </div> Kidd is great at getting the long rebounds. He's not in the paint boxing out the centers for the boards, he's out on the perimeter positioning himself to be in the right place at the right time when the ball comes off the rim, so I really doubt playing with Duncan would hurt his rebounding numbers too significantly.
Kidd is great. Nash has 3 great seasons and everyone thinks he's God, while Kidd has played great for his whole career and should have gotten MVP in 2001, but he got robbed.
Kidd came in the league a star. And he has played like one throughout his career. I agree with Carter, he was robbed in 01 of an MVP. Well maybe Nash won those MVP's because of the fact that nobody expected him to be a star in the NBA. Nash had a great turnaround, but I'd put him on the bottom of the list of MVP winners. I would have given him a Most Improved Player Award along maybe with an All-NBA 1st team at most. But not an MVP. I don't want to start another Kidd vs. Nash discussion but Kidd is better than Nash. End of story.
