John Nash, Nobel Prize winner and acclaimed mathematician whose life was depicted in the Academy Award-winning film “A Beautiful Mind” was killed alongside his wife in a taxi crash on the New Jersey Turnpike Saturday. New Jersey State Police Sgt. Gregory Williams confirmed the death of Nash, 86, and his wife, Alicia, 82, after a taxi lost control and hit a guardrail. Another car was involved in the crash, and the passenger in that vehicle was sent to the hospital, though injuries are non life threatening, according to state police. The crash is under investigation and there are no charges at this time. Nash won a Nobel Prize for Economics in 1994 for his work on game theory.
