    Blackhawks Circus Road Trip

With a record of 9-10-1 the Blackhawks start their Circus Road Trip in Canada. The first matchup is against a team that can only beat the Blackhawks, the Edmonton Oilers(4-9-3). The game starts at 8:30. Friday night the Hawks are in Calgary to take on the Flames(7-9-0), again with a start at 8:30. Then straight to a conference rival the next day, the Vancouver Canucks(7-4-2) at 9:00. These games are all on CSN Chicago for the homes, check your local listing to see the Hawks in action.

The next leg of the trip starts on the 24th against another conference rival, the San Jose Sharks(8-5-2) at 9:30 pm CST. Friday the Hawks travel to Anaheim Ducks(10-7-2) at a rare 3 pm start. Saturday the Hawks take on the Los Angeles Kings(12-3-0) at 9:30.

There are three things the Hawks fix during this roadtrip. The first is letting the opponent skate past the defense and get in a one on one with Marty Turco or Corey Crawford. This hurt the Blackhawks a few time, once against the Oilers. If you recall that bad loss. The next is getting scored on more than once in a quick period of time, simply don't get scored on right away after they were just scored on. Finally the stars of the team need to score and get assists. This is slowly starting to come true, lets hope the Hawks go above 500 in this roadtrip!

No, not going to the UC for the Circus. Thats just wrong. The UC should be used for sports, not animals and cranys.

    Western Canada, conquered!

Going 2-1 in Western Canada, the Hawks look for more once they are done partying in Vegas. But lets look back at the three games against Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. It all begings in Edmonton, where the Oilers put on a tribute to Pisani, an ex-Oiler. The Hawks captain serious, Mr. Jonathon Toews scored the first three goals of the game and got himself a natural hat trick. All of the goals were beautiful and some hats did end up on the Edmonton ice. Sharp scored too, starting to kick start his scoring again. Then the Rockford line kicked in again and Bickell nets a goal giving the Hawks a 5-0 shutout under Marty Turco. The next game wasn't even fun to watch, the Hawks weren't skating and Turco didn't do so hot. Losing 7-2.. But that was answered against Vancouver where the Hawks again frustrated Lu and the Sidens. Crawford was also in net. Toews started off the scoring, then they started to trickle in. Brouwer, Seabrook, Sharp, Pisani, Pisani(2) and Kane giving the Hawks a 7-1 victory. So far the Blackhawks are winning with more goals 14 to 8 on the Circus roadtrip. Hope to see great things out of the Californian leg. Sharks on Wednesday, Ducks on Friday and finally ending with the Kings on Saturday. Lets cheer for B'Hawk wins.

California conquest ends in a positive note!

The Hawks end the road trip going 2-1 in California, 4-2 on the road trip. The Hawks played very well in this road trip and Crawford is starting to identify himself, as well as the defense. The Hawks went into San Jose to take on the man who said the Hawks didn't have him that high on the list during the offseason, Anti Niemi. They lost 2-5 but Sharp started scoring again with a goal, and Dowell put one in as well. This was a rough game for the Hawks, they were getting beat around. The day after Thanksgiving the Hawks played the Ducks at 3pm and won 4-1. Keith, Sharp, Hjalmarsson, and Brouwer scored. Pretty cool seeing my two defenders scoring. A good game played throughout, untill the turnover by the Ducks and Sharp put it in the back of the net. The next two goals trickled in. Then down the road to LA the Hawks took on the Kings and won a great game. Winning 2-1 with goals by Sharp and Kane. There was a huge fight, well more like a beatdown by John Scott on Westgarth. Bloodied face, dripping on the ice. Then we saw some beautiful LA Kings Ice Girls. Good way to end the roadtrip, now back to Chicago for a break!
