apparently according to charley rosen: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The outlook ? Not enough quickness and leadership at the point. Not enough help for T-Mac in the frontcourt. No reliable bench players. And a pipsqueak coach who thinks he's a giant. Everything adds up to another disappointing season in Houston.</div> http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/4932528 is he implying last year was a dissapointment?
Charley Rosen is always like that. It seems the perfect team for him are only the Pistons and the always favorite Spurs. Last year he wrote an article about TMac entitled Tracy McGreedy. Right now he's being sarcastic about JVG. Jeff could have won an NBA Championship with Knicks during the 99 Finals if Patrick Ewing was not injured in the whole series. Not to take anything away from the Spurs but what I'm trying to say is there's a chance for them to win it. I'm positive about the Rockets success this coming season. If the Rockets can learn to handle pressure situations they might have a chance agaisnt the Spurs. Rosen has indicated the Rockets' weakness at the point but did the Spurs win the title with Tony Parker's guidance? Although Parker has quickness it was Duncan, Horry and Manu who won it for the Spurs.
Who cares what this guy thinks? Most people who write these things don't know squat and the only people who understand Basketball properly are the people who work in the league.
Charley Rosen was involved in the NBA before. Problem is, he's such a pessimist and he talks like he's the god of the NBA. He also tends to bring up many issues about retro basketball and stuff, about Charles Barkley and Karl Malone being overrated bla bla. Quit living in the past you moron and start writing logical stuff. For a former basketball coach, he sounds more like some ignorant sports columnist. Most of his opinions should be disregarded period.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Jeff Van Gundy is extremely arrogant and outspoken for a coach who's never won anything. If the Rockets don't survive until the conference finals, Van Gundy will be forced to take his whining sour-pussed act elsewhere.</div> I agree with Eduardo. Rosen is a critic of most players and coaches in general, and he has something bad to say about anyone. No one should really take his stuff seriously, serves up a good laugh once in a while though.
This guy is a joke. McGrady is too hungry to let an encore of last season happen again especially with all these new acquisitions. The playing more basketball than spending time with my daughter line in the elimination game last year against the Mavs convinced me that he is out on a mission this year.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Avery:</div><div class="quote_post">This guy is a joke. WTF. No one wants to read that garbage. I wonder if this loser thinks he has any fans. Let alone any one who takes his opinions (that I think really are not even his opinions) seriously. I think we all know that he does this for attention. Yes, I said it. Charly Rosen is an attention whore.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting drake:</div><div class="quote_post">Who cares what this guy thinks? IF you want people to come to your website, you do it by writing profesional articles, this means showing respect. He is obviously using this as a way to diss JVG and Yao and the rockets. I read this yesterday and emailed him, didnt think it should be posted cause then people will go look at it, which is what they want, and all we can do is complain. Foxsports is messed up, never go there.
<font size=""6"">Hater!</font> Don't worry about him. Haters are everywhere, this one just happens to write for a website.
I started reading some other teams previews and this guy is a jerk. Its like one insult after another. What a freaking jerk. These guys are the best players in the world and he just hammers them.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The centers — Yao Ming lacks aggressiveness, has leaden lateral movement, slow reactions on defense, is slow off the floor and can't play hard for more than eight minutes at a time. He's a made-in-China Statue of Liberty who excels in shooting and passing. Not enough to light a championship torch in Houston. Dikembe Mutombo is an ageless wonder.</div> Igorance FTW!
Lol and to think the Fox sports website actually uses his articles as headlines 90% of the time my god..btw Charley Rosen looks like he's 90 or something.
I guess Charlie Rosen is a glass half-empty kind of guy. Sheesh. A lot of his comments are accurate, but the insults take away from any insight he might have. The namecalling against Van Gundy, in particular, is totally uncalled for and hypocritical. He says Van Gundy is too outspoken when he hasn't won anything. So what the hell has Charlie Rosen won in the NBA that gives him the right to be that outspoken against Van Gundy? Has he ever taken an 8th seed to the NBA finals? Has he taken a team into the playoffs his first year, after they missed the playoffs for several years prior?
I never take Rosen's opinion seriously...his "expertise" on basketball is slim and none...this is a man who once said Lebron will be nothing more than an average NBA player...he's one of the more least credible sportswriters on the planet and just likes to hang on Phil Jackson's jock since they are good buds...and since JVG is seen as an enemy and for of Phil's, Rosen decides to dump on Van Gundy and the Rockets... the man is a nimwit...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Houston:</div><div class="quote_post"> the man is a nimwit...</div> How come someone like him has a job as a sports analyst, when so many of his articles are inaccurate and biased?
