<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">John Paxson took some rare days off last week, but he knows his work is far from finished this off-season. With a little more than a month until training camp begins, the Bulls' general manager has several critical decisions to make, some of which could affect the franchise for years to come. The Bulls believe they are better positioned for the future after drafting Ben Gordon and Luol Deng and signing Andres Nocioni. They could be right. But even management might concede that the need to develop Gordon and Deng and to nurture Nocioni's transition to the NBA shifts the focus to the future rather than the here and now. That said, mastering the following personnel situations would affect both the present and future, which is why Paxson is still on the clock. What to do with Eddy Curry and Tyson Chandler? Recent trade talks with Memphis regarding Curry were legitimate and serious, with names like Lorenzen Wright and Bo Outlaw almost making the Bulls bite on a larger package involving Eddie Robinson. Team Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf, who met with Curry shortly after last season to impress upon him his value to the franchise, remains a supporter. That's why he has made it clear that Paxson must receive equal value in any Curry trade. Curry will be a restricted free agent next summer and the Bulls want to avoid a repeat of the Jamal Crawford saga. One team?the Knicks?drove Crawford's price tag out of the Bulls' budget, forcing them to make a trade based more on financial than basketball reasons.</div> full story registration required I personally dont by the <strike>shit</strike> about Curry leaving Chicago I think they are just enjoying trade offers to him and seeing how much he is worth to make a decent contract offer to him. Curry is not Crawford he is not a ***** about everything and he loves the city of Chicago and does not want to leave it for New York or any other place considering it is his home town. Also I dont see Chandler being involved in any trade to Houston. They really have no one to offer to us besides Taylor and I dont think he is as good or ever will be as good as Chandler is going to be. I cant wait to see our back court in action these are two of the top guards in the College division in our starting back court and one who was in the final four a couple years back and another who won the final four this year. I think our future is bright and we will most likely make the playoffs this year at a 7th or 8th seed. Hopefully we resign either Curry or Chandler soon so we dont have to consentrate on both of them next off season. Since if we do let them both become free agents restricted or not they will probably both get offers around 40-50 million during like 5 or 6 years so it will be tough to match both offers. <font color="Red">Watch the language Mr. MVP, you know better! If Curry reports to training camp 285 or below- KEEP HIM. That obviously means hes been working hard. Tyson, he's been working hard all off-season, and i really dont see Pax trading him to houston, as nothing they're willing to trade is worth Tyson. Curry is the cornerstone of our franchise if he can stay in shape,so for getting Lorenzen Wright and Bo Outlaw is just terrible, even if we're unloading E-Rob. :thumbsdow Please Pax, DON'T DO THIS!
I'll cry if they trade Tyson Chandler, we gave up Elton Brand for him and he's going to be good. Curry I would trade because he doesnt work his hardest and is overweight but not for the Memphis deal because its a bad deal for us. This seriously is a lot of bull.
