Yes, I read about this an hour or so ago. Tragic. This family's been through a lot lately. I wish them the best and I hope life cuts them a break soon. They've been through enough... I'm glad the prognosis looks so promising. I hope she makes a full recovery and all indications are, she will.
I think the onus now falls on brett to walk away and spend this time with his wife and family now that they need him.
Just thought that I would bump this thread to keep Deanna Favre's battle in mind. May God be with all cancer patients and their families during this holiday season. Favre shows support for his wife
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DolfanDale)</div><div class='quotemain'>Just thought that I would bump this thread to keep Deanna Favre's battle in mind. I'm not sure that he needs to quit because of her having cancer. His playing may give both, Brett and Deanna, a welcome distraction from her illness. Having Brett around 24/7 may cause an unhealthy fixation on the fact that she's sick. Whatever the case, that's a decision only Brett and Deanna are qualified to make. Different people work through things differently.
I think Favre will go one more year... He said he absolutely will retire if the Pack wins the Superbowl this year, but I don't see that happening. I give him one more shot and then he'll be gone.
