When did they move him to AA? I must have missed that... still not hitting though... its frustrating....
I would think it has more to do with what's in his head than anything else. Plus, he comes back at one of the poster boys for the on going PED problem.
yeah... just got an e-mail for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders saying that he was going to be with them tomorrow...
The guy needs more time, obviously he's not 100% and coming to the majors, but NY is desperate, could he be any worse than Hafner? I bet Alex will be a slight improvement, and maybe down the line he'll get going, at least he's a RH.
You can't really judge anything by stats when a guy is on a rehab assignment. They're usually just worried about getting their timing and being fine in the field and not so much ripping the cover off the ball.
...I've seen nothing during his rehab that would lead me to believe he's any better than he was in the PS last year...I think he's done.
...problem is, while he's vainly trying to prove he can still play, the team will still not be getting production or defense from the 3B position...I've been very vocal about my feeling towards ARod and in a way I hope he proves me wrong, but again, I think he's done. And if he does fail miserably like I think he will, I hope Joe doesn't wait too long before benching him again.
I've never been a Girardi fan but I did like the way he handled A-Rod during the playoffs. He got an A for having balls. So I've no doubt he'd do it again if need be.
I feel Arod will be on a short leash this time around. Both on the field and in the manor that he carries himself from this point forward. You can bet by now, and all-star team of attorneys have had the time to review any potential outs in the contract. We can only hope! Maybe we should looka t it as a win-win. If he plays well, we are better for it, if he struggles and fails we are closer to being done with him. I can't see this playing out over the remainder of his contract. It's going to one or the other...
How are you all interrupting the article in NY Daily news, on how the MLBPA is going to, in essence, back MLB in their efforts to rid baseball of this problem. I read it as follows. If the union is going to support MLB where there is overwhelming evidence to support MLB claims then this will be a major blow in the potential appeal process and thus could be why we are hearing rumors of Arod trying to reach a deal in order salvage whatever he can. The hand was in the cookie jar, it got caught, again! Makes you appreciate Jeter and the likes even more!
