I know they dont project trades in drafts this early, but the Patriots should take McFadden or trade down and pick up a couple of linebackers.

So? Adalius Thomas & R Colvin aren't working out. What a shame. It's a good thing the patsies have the NFL'sequivalent of Michael Jordan... I mean Junior Seau.

Seriously(?), the phins should work out a mini-Herschel like deal w/ Dallas for the rights to McFadden

Colvin is hurt and Thomas has done well enough. The problem is that the linebackers the Patriots use are all over 30. Vrabel, Bruschi, and Seau are well over 30. They need youth in that position.

I think the JEts should consider taking McFadden. Falcon should consider Matt Ryan he's a better prosepct imo.

I hope it's not a serious mock by them. Groves and Rivers in the top 7? They won't get taken til at least18-31 area.

That's what I'm hoping for. Barber + DMac? Yes please :-)

Plus Darren's a Razorback; you know Jerry gets hard nipples everytime he thinks of him.

I personally think Felix Jones is a better RB.

GMJ (being a Cowboys fan); Would Jerry trade the 2 #1's &Julius Jones for the #1 overall?

    Perhaps, throw in Jason Taylor for a 2nd in 08 & 5th in 09?

edit - Would Jerry get hard nipples from the same plastic surgeon he got botox from? lol.

You bring up a good point. There are many Cowboys fans who would rather sit tight with the two #1's; take Talib or Cason with the first pick, and draft Slaton or Jones with the second. Felix Jones is going to be a player, I'm not doubting that, but he's no DMac. Plus in Garrett's offense (yep, I think we'll retain him!) he'll be a beast.

If the trade is both number one's plus Julius, I'd take that in a heartbeat, mainly because whether Julius gets resigned is up in the air; he's of relatively low trade value for us unless Jerry gets interest from a couple of teams. Julius is not a player you want to out bid for :-)

As for Jason Taylor for a 2nd next year, on paper that sounds like a good idea: Marcus Spears and Chris Canty have been good enough, but not the players we expected them to be (especially the first rounder Spears). Given that Taylor is one year removed from defensive MVP it sounds like a great deal for a second, but since I'm relatively uneducated on Dolphin issues part of me gives pause since you guys are trying to get rid of him, right?

Those 2 #1's Dallas has would be too much of a drop off for Miami. Those picks will probably be in the 20's.

Jones is good, and probably will be a late first/early 2nd, but I wouldn't take him over McFadden. Too much physical talent there.

I read awhile back that Julius was on the block.

Lets face it; he'd be an upgrade over the current phins backups, decent insurance if Ronnie isn't ready or Ricky flakes again.

I get the impression that Taylor feels he's on the way out. The few games I've seen its seemed like he's mailing it in. I'd rather trade 99 to an NFC team. Seattle being the other option... it seems like they are always looking to upgrade their pass rush. I would not rule out the Rams who have been trying to upgrade their D for years.

Miami does have a good young nucleus @ DT (Soliai, Fifita, etc...). Adding Dorsey would not disappoint me nor would acquiring Howie's boy.I thought that the phins should have drafted A. Okoye instead of Ginn.

I do find it interesting that they are putting Zach on the shelf as if saving him for next year.

We cant trade JJ. He is an UFA at the end of this year.

So beyond the obvious, wow, what a deal. 2 1sts and JJ for McFadden.

Sit back; draft a CB. Draft a WR. Address a RB in round 2 or via free agency. Barber as a feature back; I am more than confortable with. Parcells said he'd have made Marion the feature back last year, if we had, you know....someone who could also come in and relieve him. But Barber's versatility hurts him bec. JJ isn't as big of a threat on 3rd down or in short situations.

Also, why would we trade for Jason Taylor. Like Greg Ellis; he only has a couple of years left.

We are grooming Spencer to replace Ellis. Taylor brings more athleticism, sure. But why trade for a player on his last legs? Ellis is a competant pass rusher.

<strike>There's no way you're talking about Jerruh, is there?</strike>

edit: I might have been paying too much to context, since the Cowboys have been drafting LB's the past couple of years. So then I must ask, are you really that disappointed in the drafting of Calvin Johnson?
