Was anyone else depressed watching the game last night, knowing that the fans knew their team was gone? Sacramento is Kings-crazy, even when the Kings didn't deserve the support. They accepted arguably the worst franchise in the NBA and embraced it completely. And not only are the Kings leaving, but their new fans were wearing L*ker jerseys and cheering on the refs as the stripes stole a Western Conference Championship from the Kings nine years ago. Sacramento Kings fans deserve better.

In my mind, it was also foreshadowing. That scene could be us in 2027.

I had similar thoughts. I was thinking how great it was when there were teams in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland and Sacramento. That made for some good rivalries and provided some road games that were close enough for fans to drive to. Now, the closest will be Salt Lake and San Francisco. I really hope Stern steers the Hornets back to Seattle.

It's somewhat depressing. Not as bad as the Seattle deal though.

Yeah, don't even get me started on the travel issue. The schedule gets easier for the Clippers, LA and Phoenix and gets a damn sight harder for us. Golden State is now our closest rival and they're 600 miles away. It's ridiculous.

Powebalance in itself is a scam. The fact that its CEO made enough $$ to buy naming rights of an NBA.... smh.

I think you know you're screwed as a fanbase when they rename the arena mid season and then slap the for sale sign on the jumbotron! HAHAHA!

If the Kings move to SoCal and IF If the NBA wanted to be fair...........they could help us out by throwing in a road trip where the Blazers play 2-3 of those teams on the same trip. But for some reason they like us to fly up and back as if they were right next door.

Everybody from the TV crew to the basketball operation people said they have one foot out the door. The team has told their employees to go ahead and start looking for other jobs. And the best part, the team wanted the new sponsors to put their name on the arena for our game since it was the first one with the new name........ PowerBalance or whatever they are called said NO! They said they didn't want to waste the $$$$$ since the team is moving. Pretty sad.

That's heartbreaking. It's not just about the players or owners; real people get hurt here. Sacramento deserves better.

I will be 52 years old then.
Owner Paul Allen will be 74.

Brian Wheeler and Antonio Harvey joked on the radio last night during the game when they saw a fan holding up a sign saying "Hello Anaheim" and wearing a laker jersey?

That guy was a piece of work. That's definitely a blow to Sacramento - spent two weeks there a year ago this time for work, and there wasn't a lot else going on. I suppose they're at least in driving distance of the Bay Area sports scene, but that's what, 40 miles down the road?

Amazing how the three closest NBA franchises to Portland have been lost in the last 12 years.

I would imagine that David Stern would be perfectly happy with us moving to Seattle and having one Northwest team in the entire league.

Technically if you are only going to have one team between SF/OAK and Alaska, Portland is Stern's best option from a geographic standpoint. When Utah moves I see us owning the Boise market too.
