MADRID (AFP) - Italian giants AC Milan are keen to sign Spain's international defender Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid, sports daily Marca reported on Thursday.

"Milan wants Sergio Ramos... and coach, Carlo Ancelotti, is pushing hard to get" him, the paper said.

Marca said that league leaders Real Madrid could be interested discussing a transfer and would be interested in return in securing the services of AC Milan's Brazilian midfield star Kaka.

The Spanish club has been trying to lure the brilliant playmaker from Milan and could be interested in some form of exchange with Ramos, who has flourished since arriving at Real Madrid from Sevilla in 2005.

However, AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi said last month that the European Champions would not even consider selling their prize asset.

AC Milan are currently languishing in ninth position in Italy's Serie A with only three wins.</div></p>
