Coordinator of basketball officials John Clougherty said the league reviewed the game film and discussed the clock controversy with the officials, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and Clemson coach Oliver Purnell.

"The league acknowledges that a timing error was made in not starting the game clock at the correct time," said Clougherty, adding the situation was resolved internally but did not elaborate. </div>

I guess I really don't have anything intelligent to say about this situation. It's at least the third time in the last two seasons Duke has gotten a handout to win their game at home. One's an accident. Two is a trend. Three, well, that's just called favoritism. There's no doubting the fact anymore - Duke has an unfair advantage in every game they play at home (which is where they play the vast majority of their games anyway).

It's really sad to see these kids go out and bust their ass to win a game, then see it all taken away because some prick boosters have control over the ACC's entire officiating team. If I were an opponent (and I absolutely mean this - I'm serious), I would not play a game at Duke with ACC officials ever again. I would demand out-of-conference officials, or I would forfit the game in protest. Better to sit home and take the loss than risk injuring a player when the outcome is decided over your head.

    **** Duke

I still don't see how they can get the clock wrong even with the instant replay and clock there right in front of you taking as much time as you can.
