Nov 7 - His timing couldn't be better. Hawks rookie point guard Acie Law IV got his first NBA start at Izod Center against Jason Kidd and the New Jersey Nets on Tuesday night. He'll follow that with a date with two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns tonight at Philips Arena. And Law will cap off his second week in the NBA matching wits with Gilbert Arenas and Washington on Sunday.

"Hey, from my perspective this is a perfect time to get thrown into the fire," Law said. "I get one of the best point guards of all time followed by another contender for the title and then Gilbert. It's enough to make your head spin. But this is what I'm here for, to compete against the very best. I'm not going to shy away from any challenges." -- Atlanta Journal-Constitution

He's good enough to deserve that starting spot...He just can't continue to have games like last night. Lue was terrible last night.

And why aren't Claxton or Stoudamire getting any minutes? Not good enough?

Claxton is injured again. Law should be playing more minutes than Lue mostly because of defense.
