I really like this kid's game. He's a big PG (about 6'3''-6'4'', 200 lbs.), he's quick, he is a very good passer with good vision, he has REALLY improved his jumper and his range, he can penetrate, he's a solid defender, he's a good rebounding guard, and he plays under control most of the time. There are times where he tends to commit more turnovers than we would like, but he always makes up for it. He always keeps his head high, he doesn't sag and get depressed when he makes mistakes. That's another thing I really like about him: he always keeps his head in the game. I can see this kid as a top 20 pick this year, around 25 at least. What do you think?
yeah, I noticed him a few years ago while watching the A&M games on TV. Nice player with some good skills, can score and like you said he keeps his head in the game.First rounder definetely, 18-20 is where he will go IMO.
I remember watching this kid in the NCAA Tournament last year and being blown away by how well he played. Law is a very good player, does a lot of the little things, and IMO is a great leader. He's what makes A&M tick.Yeah I looked it up and the game I remebered was the game against streaking 5 seed Syracuse when he went for 23/7/5 and a steal, and hit big shot after big shot down the stretch of that game. Then I remember he played LSU and didn't have a great shooting game, but rebounded very well in it, and A&M had no one else to pick up the slack and they lost by 1 to LSU, I remember his defense was very good (He was like 13/8/3 and 3 steals in that game or something similar to that). The kid played very well in the tournament last year and I expect A&M to do well again this year.
The guy's definitely a later first round pick. He has not really progressed much in three years there with his numbers. The draft camps will be a big key to where he lands, a lot of good NCAA players make it or break it there.
I was looking forward to seeing him play this year, but it doesn't look like he's stepped up his game. He needs to be a big player in the NCAA tourny, and have great draft camps like BCB said, and he can be a middle 1st rounder, because he's got some great talent.
I have seen him first hand, so I think I'd have a pretty decent opinion of him.What you all have said about him is pretty accurate. He is fast as hell. I know one play last year against LSU he basically turned a 3-on-1 into him alone on a fast break. He just blew right by all three of them. He is, also as you all said, a very good leader. He heads this team up very well and is very calm and collected. You all also said that he hasn't progressed very much, and I'd say that is pretty accurate as well. Although, I don't think that is entirely terrible as other players have come up in the team (mainly Antanas Kavaliauskas). I'm not sure if he has just not been playing up to his full potential this season or what, but I think he'll kick some ass later on this season.And... It is definitely more exciting to watch than Pro ball IMO. The Big 12 hosted so many amazing games this year....Its ridiculous. Texas alone had 3 amazing games that all went in to overtime. One was against A&M, and Acie Law had one of the best shots that I have ever seen. He is a stud, and I think he is going to go top 15 in the draft, easily.
Yeah.. NCAA is sooooo much better than NBA, I love it.. So I suggest you watch it more CB, plus you get to see all these draft prospects, pretty cool to see how they fare in the NBA one day..
