Wade Phillips will grant Adam 'Pacman' Jones' wish 4:16 PM Mon, Sep 01, 2008 | Permalink | Yahoo! Buzz Tim MacMahon Wade Phillips said that Adam "Pacman" Jones and Felix Jones would probably be the Cowboys' primary kickoff returners in Sunday's season opener. "It may not be both of them on the field," Phillips said. "It may be one at a time, but hopefully there aren't too many of those [kickoff returns]." Isaiah Stanback, who appeared to be seizing the kickoff return role before dislocating his shoulder, is expected to play in Cleveland. However, the plan is to limit Stanback's role to the No. 3 WR.
I'm happy with getting Pacman on the field. A lot of that is because it will keep brittle Stanback off the field.
He'll be getting time against Cleveland as the 3rd WR (Austin, Hurd are out with injury). You'll be seeing him one way or another. Just a question of how much. I'd expect little. I think Witten will motion out a lot; Felix will be used, and we'll run a lot of 2 TE sets with Witten and Bennett. But I am pretty excited to watch Stanback play, even if injured...
