<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">A day after the short-handed Bulls managed to pull out a road win at Orlando, the injury report looked like this:

?Kirk Hinrich (concussion) returned to practice after taking two days off and appears likely to play tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers.

?Kirk looked like Kirk,? coach Scott Skiles said. ?I don?t know if he?s all the way back to normal, but very close.?

?Ben Gordon (sprained right knee) did not practice and had a precautionary MRI exam late in the afternoon. Asked to estimate the chances of Gordon playing tonight, Skiles used the word ?iffy.?

?It?s sore and it swelled up a little bit last night,? Gordon said. ?This is the first time anything?s ever happened to my knee. If it doesn?t get any better than it is right now, I?d say I won?t be able to play.?

?Tyson Chandler had more tests in the late afternoon to try to determine why he?s experienced shortness of breath all season.

Chandler was diagnosed two weeks ago with a hiatal hernia, which involves an irritation of the diaphragm. But so far, medication hasn?t diminished the problem, and he sat out the Orlando game after playing the first five minutes.

Chandler plans to keep playing through his condition. Wednesday was the first time it forced him to come out of a game.

?You can do what you can do,? Chandler said. ?I?m not soft or anything like that. You?re capable of doing whatever you can do out there. I haven?t been feeling good for a long time.?

Remembering Scottie: Only Tyson Chandler, Kirk Hinrich and Jannero Pargo remain from 2003-04, when Scottie Pippen returned for a final season with the Bulls. The players offered these testimonials on Pippen, whose No. 33 will be retired tonight.

?I loved watching Scottie for what he did all over the floor,? Chandler said. ?To me, he?s still today what you would say a small forward is supposed to be. I think everybody tried to pattern their game after what he did. To me, he?s just the ultimate small forward.?

Added Ben Gordon: ?A lot of people don?t like to say it, but I think he was just as good an athlete as MJ (Michael Jordan) and he was 6-8. He caused a lot of problems on both ends of the floor. He was a terrific player.?

Pargo could often be found playing Pippen 1-on-1 after practice that season, even after Pippen stopped playing in games because of a sore left knee.

?We played a lot of 1-on-1 games because he knows I can score the ball a little bit and he?s a defensive-minded person,? Pargo said. ?So he wanted to get out there and see if he still had the legs to stop me.?

    So who won?

?I won?t say,? Pargo said with a smile. ?He?s getting his number retired. I don?t want to embarrass him.?</div>

The final injury report which has been released by the Bulls through mybulls emails, and their web site has Kirk Hinrich listed as probable for tonight’s contest, and has listed Ben Gordon as doubtful. Not having Ben Gordon will hurt, but not as much as some people might think it will allow us to give some more playing time to Jannero Pargo who has shined in every opportunity he has received. As well as get Eddie Basden some playing time as well since he is a bigger guard not to mention great defender.
