"The 2011 Detroit Tigers took the field together for the first time Saturday, and the club had its first full-squad workout. All-Star first baseman Miguel Cabrera was missing as he awaits medical evaluations connected to his alcohol abuse, and that was a bit like going to see "True Grit" and finding out Jeff Bridges wasn't Rooster. Though, Tigers manager Jim Leyland is confident Cabrera will be back soon, and likes the look of his team. "It's a good-looking team," he said, "no question about it. We think we have a very nice roster. But you've got to play the game." He believes this is a better club than the one that finished 81-81 in 2010. "Are we a lot better?" Leyland said, repeating the question. "We'll have to wait and see about that, but we're definitely a better team.
