Adelman contemplating retirement

    The Houston Rockets currently sit in 11th place in the Western Conference with a record of 25-30. Last season, the team ended up third in the Southwest Division at 42-40 and missed the playoffs. Those kinds of numbers are enough to get a guy like Rick Adelman down.

    The Houston Chronicle reports that the 64-year-old Adelman, whose contract runs out this year, discussed retirement with his wife last summer and will again when the season ends.

    "We will talk about it this year, more seriously, and decide what do I really want to do in the future?" said Adelman, according to the Chronicle. "I think you think about it when you get to this many years in the league. Let's be frank, it's been really disappointing the last two years with the injuries. Then when you think you have something going ..."
