Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson said Thursday he doesn't want to be traded despite the team's 2-7 record but that he would understand the business aspects of dealing him for draft picks as part of a rebuilding project. "I definitely wouldn't mind playing here," Peterson told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "I feel like we have the right pieces, and we can continue to get some more pieces as well to help build this team and make us even stronger. ... So, no, [I don't want to go elsewhere]." Peterson signed a seven-year, $100 million contract extension in 2011, and the Vikings made a surprising run to the postseason in 2012 with Peterson threatening the NFL record for rushing yards in a season.
