Adriano To Start Against Juventus?
Adriano may be set for a sensational return to the Inter starting line-up in Sunday’s game against Juventus after impressing in training over the last couple of days.
According to reports in Italy ‘The Emperor’ has been unstoppable in practice, scoring with virtually every shot he had during a training game yesterday.
“In my opinion the partnership up-front for the match with Juventus will be Adriano – Ibrahimovic,” said Nando Orsi, former assistant to Coach Roberto Mancini.
Adriano has had a miserable past 18 months on and off the field, and has featured in just four games for Inter this season.
The 25-year-old did not even make the bench in the last two Serie A matches against Palermo and Genoa, but it seems Mancini may now be preparing to offer him a shock starting place during Sunday night’s Derby d’Italia.
When asked who would be in the team’s forward positions for the match, Mancini said that it would be Ibrahimovic and one other.
“Ibrahimovic and one of the four other strikers will play from the start,” he stated.
The four alternatives are Hernan Crespo, Julio Cruz, David Suazo, and Adriano himself.
