RJ, next time the Nets play the Knicks and you post up Jamal Crawford, don't wait for the double team to come so you can pass out of it because you'll only be passing the ball to someone who can't shoot. It Knicks doubler took 2-3 seconds to get to you, which gave you plenty, eons even, or time to take the smaller man in the post and score or draw a foul. And don't tell me Rodney Buford is a shooter, because he ain't.
I think he did a solid job of decision making early in the game when he had Crawford in the low block era. He used the double team to create some good opportunites for Eric Williams to have good looks on the baseline three point area. And he dished out of the double & created a couple of perimeter looks for Kidd as well. I think that we have to keep in mind RJ is not at the full scorer mentality, yet. Its clear he gets stuck in alot of positions where he is trying to make a play for someone else, when a better shot is available to him. And vice versa...but thats the process someone has to go thru, when they have never been asked to carry a team. This process is all new to RJ, so there are still going to be spots where you say man I wish RJ would have look to take advantage of that mis-match a little more. And I think we all would have like to have seen him exploit Crawford a bit more in the 3nd half... down in the block/mid-range era.
