Last Friday night we triumphed over a very good Collingwood side in front of 88,000 fans. That many people make an incredible amount of noise. Hearing such sound is one of the very special things about playing AFL on a big stage. The noise is exhilarating and produces an avalanche of adrenaline that has a profound effect on your body. I love hearing supporters cry, cackle, scream and smile based on the actions of the players out on the ground. It makes me realise just how lucky I am to be playing such a great game in such a great country. This weekend we will be facing the future. To me the Melbourne Demons represent hope and prosperity. I believe, provided that they can keep their current list of players together, that they will be setting the trends in the years to come. I will be having a close look at how all of the Melbourne forwards play during my preparation this week, not only for the advantage of this weekend's game but also for the future. They are faces I will be seeing regularly in the years to come. http://au.sports.yahoo.com/afl/blogs/post/-/htaylor/42/1
