The Lakers used to focus on 5 game stretches. We should do the same. After 5 games so far we are #1 in the West.

Here are the next 5 (I think we can go 4-1 again)What do you all think?

Thu, Jan 5 VS Los Angeles Lakers

    Fri, Jan 6 @ Phoenix

    Sun, Jan 8 Vs. Cleveland

Tue, Jan 10 VS. Los Angeles Clippers

    Wed, Jan 11 VS Orlando

Jeez. 5 games in 7 nights. 4-1 would be tough, but not impossible. PHX looks bad, as does CLE. The other ones, you never know.

Absolutely no team scares me in the Rose Garden, and Phoenix on the road is not what it used to be. 4-1 is certainly reasonable.

I'll be disappointed with anything less than 5-0.

Ok not really but I think we should be the favorite in every one of these 5 games. We play much better at home, there is only one road game against the terrible Suns. Hopefully we can go 4-1 because there are going to be some brutal stretches coming up where we will be very lucky to win close to .500

Cleveland is 3-2 and sitting in the 6th spot in the East.

I think it's really early, but there are a lot of positive signs for sure

I think Nate should start Rhino and cheap shot Bynum in the first minute of the game. Give that fucker a taste of his own medicine. Get Smith ejected, but send a message to Bynum and the Lakers that the Blazers won't be fucked with. Hell, I'll help pay Smith's fine.

Bynum is the kind of player that makes me want to believe in the power of karma.

I want to see what this team is made of. I want to play the lakers//magic and everyone else at full strength to see if we are pretenders or contenders. I'm not sure were we are, most likely somewhere inbetween at the moment, but we are showing glimpses of something special.

It certainly is encouraging to think that we really havent played our best game and we certainly havent played a complete game. And the day that we have 2, 3 or 4 players all hot from the outside the opponent wont stand a chance. All of that gives me hope that we at least have a chance to be a contender in the West. Gotta see what happens but its nice to have hope.

Yeah, but who are their wins over? Detroit, New Jersey, and Charlotte, who sport a combined 4-12 record. I'm not concerned about the Cavs.
