Do you work 24/7 Maxiep? I don't think anyone on here works all day and all night. If the president wants to get a round of golf in on the weekend, good for him.

So, why does Tony Hayward get excoriated for sailing his boat and Obama gets a free ride for golfing?

Maybe because Obama didn't spill a zillion gallons of oil in the gulf and then say he wanted his life back?

    Just a guess.

Barack Obama said he's doing everything possible to stop the leak and minimize the environmental damage. Yet he took how long to get back to Bobby Jindal about building sand berms? Has he dropped the Jones Act yet? Nope. He's too busy posing for photo ops with sports teams, attending concerts and playing golf. And Tony Hayward is just the CEO; did he spill the oil personally?

P.S. I'm still waiting for the oceans to stop rising and the earth to begin cooling. Working on his golf game isn't going to get those things done.

FYI the sand berms are not a good solution. They mess up the ecosystems that the water normals feeds back into. It is seriously a VERY screwed up situation. The more information comes out, the more it becomes apparent there isn't a straight forward solution other than capping the well-head

I think it's probably better than letting the oil flood the marshland. The oil gets lodged on the sand berms, cleaned and the sand berms get removed.

The bottom line is our President was too busy playing Hamlet when decisive action needed to be taken. In a crisis situation, you're not always presented with an optimal solution, but you can minimize the damage that's going to occur.

Care to explain passing on the skimmers?

I cannot, and would not wager that the lack of sand berms was intentional. I just thought i'd add in that interesting fact I had heard.
