Pack won their first game 6-3. Tambellini, Gilmour and Nieves all with 1 G, 1 A. Good signs.

Lost 6-2 to Pitt's minor league team. Not surprising. The Penguins are generally clueless on how to use their AHL team as a feeder system. They rely on tanking seasons, fixed lotteries and trades to fill the roster. They usually stock the farm with 26 to 35 year old vets to try and win with their AHL team. Not much went on in that game. Fogarty with an assist. Halverson is in the ECHL. Dumb. You don't invest a second round pick in a goalie and play Skapski over him who got shelled last night. One can only think that Skapski and a couple other 4th line prospects will be dealt for picks.

I don't get that with a prospect like Halverson either.
