    Mathews and someone else for ray allen? We lose defensively but gain a shooter who can shoot. I dunno if they want any contracts though they might value cap space a ton

    What use are a bunch of over-the-hill former stars to this team? Does adding Ray Allen (or Pierce or Garnett) make this team a contender? I sure don't think so.

    Hard to imagine that the Celtics would be fighting for a playoff spot, but the east has improved dramatically. I do not see a trade with them being beneficial this year. The salaries are just too high.

    doubt they would come with picks because aside from rondo and pierce they are on 1 year deals... So i am assuming IF they trade they trade to a western conference team for picks....
