Give Merriman however much he wants. He is our heart and soul, he is the leader of this team off the field. Give him anything. If you let him slip away, fuck you. Well either way, fuck you...but fuck you more, if you let him walk.

Eagles front office gets whoever they want in free agency, if they target them. Look at TO and Kearse in 04, Asante Samuel this year. Given our front office's stingy ways, we have plenty of cap left to sign another superstar, and will if they feel up to it. I hope the Eagles will target Merriman and steal him from you guys. He would look great in green.

Do you guys run a 3-4?

I think eventually AJ will pony up the money to keep him around.

Maybe the injury might scare him off though and he'll try to low ball him? I'm not sure.

They will low ball him, which would be stupid. Pay the man whatever he wants. He is a game changer.

Smith doesn't like his off the field activities and his other gigs outside of football.c

It's always an adjustment for a linebacker when he switches schemes. Although I think 3-4 linebackers have an easier time than 4-3 ones (see Jonathan Vilma in NY).
