It's no secret that Harrington may be dealt this offseason. I really like his game. He would be a great addition to the Celts.
Since Reggie Miller is getting old, the Pacers are in need of a 2. I would like to see the Celts try to land him.
    Maybe...
    Ricky/Chucky for Harrington/Anthony Johnson?
    What do you guys think?

I would take that trade in a second, I don't know if Indy would. I think Ainge would have to include a draft pick or Perkins to make it happen

That actually sounds like a good trade to pull off for both teams. Ricky gives the Pacers something they haven't had ever, which is an athletic shooting guard. Chucky gives them a legit backup point guard (not sure how good a defender he is) who can start at times for Tinsely.

I think Boston would love to have Harrington. He's young and still has a lot of upside so to speak. It would be interesting to see how he pairs up with Pierce.

    Future lineup??:

    PG- Banks
    SG- Pierce
    SF- Harrington
    PF- Lafrentz
    C- Battie

    Bench- Welsch, West, Mihm, Jefferson??

If you are looking at the big picture you would have reason to be optimistic. But the small picture looks very bleek as of now.

That would look like a decent starting five but the only problem would be getting Battie back.

    yeah, battie is gone.
    I'm thinking more....
    1-Banks
    2-Jiri
    3-Pierce
    4-Harrington
    5-Raef/Jefferson

There is no way in hell Bird trades Davis for Harrington. Teams don't go big for small; especially when the small is Ricky Davis.

Ricky Davis and Artest on the same team? There's not enough Paxil in the universe.

Cheap shot Birdman. How many times has Davis been fined or suspended as compared to Artest?

Ricky Davis did nothing last season that merits that comment.

How long do people have to pay for past indiscretions?

He pouted his way out of Cleveland.

After pouting his way out of Miami.

After pouting his way out of Charlotte.

I was joking about the Paxil but still, there is no way Davis gets traded for Harrington. It's just not equal value.

Honestly, I think Bird would retire before trading for a guy that intentionally missed a shot at his own bucket in an attempt to get a triple-double. Six guys in the NBA would never stand for that. Bird, West, both Browns (Hubie and Larry) Jackson and Sloan; and I don't believe that any team they ever are a part of will trade for Ricky Davis.

I agree that the triple-double thing was pretty stupid, but I don't think it should be something that follows him around the rest of his career either.

It was a moment of stupidity, amongst what was otherwise a great game by him.

That said, Larry Bird knows talent and Ricky Davis has it. I think Ricky made good strides in cleaning up his image this season, not to mention that he's shown that in the right situation, he can play behind a star and not be a team distraction.

However, I'm inclined to agree with you that this deal with Indy wouldn't go down.
