<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">BOSTON - Carrying the Celtics to a four-game winning streak, Al Jefferson was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

Over the Celtics last four games, Jefferson has been mostly unstoppable, averaging 23.5 points and 14.5 rebounds per game on 55% shooting from the field, posting three double-doubles along the way. And his 32 points (career high) and 18 rebounds against New Jersey Saturday was probably the most of impressive outing of his young career.

On the season, Jefferson is averaging 14.9 PPG and 11.1 RPG, and he's in the NBA's Top 10 in rebounding (#7) and offensive rebounding (#4, 3.6 ORB).

Jefferson's been impressive since early December, when he kicked off a five-game winning streak with a 29-point, 14-rebound performance against the Nets in New Jersey. Since then, he's amassed 28 more double-doubles and has 30 overall on the season in just 52 games. </div>
