Well looks like there is a good chance of getting him according to various mock drafts. But they dont predict the future all the time. But if we do get him, how will he fit in? Some say he's just another athlete and not a great basketball player like we we have. But I think his scoring on the other side of the offense will help.

I think he'd be a nice pick for the Sixers, even though Iggy is holding down the SF/SG spots. Thornton could even log some minutes at the 4 to help fill that need.

Thornton would likely be the best available at 12, offensively speaking anyway. The thing is, he's a hell of a scorer, but he's a combo forward. He can play some 4, but he's got the body of a 3. He also prefers to score the basketball from the perimeter or off the dribble-drive, as opposed to being a post player - which Philly needs. So, if they did end up with Thornton, you'd be a small team, but one that is pretty tough to handle.

Don't listen to the mock drafts at this stage Analyst. I don't think Thornton's a very good fit for your team. You need a true bigman, but with Thornton you can't go wrong, a nice player.

All the good big men will most likely be gone by then and there will be none left that we won't have a good chance of being able to pick at 21.
