The FG kicker who missed 3 FG's went to the locker room and tried to hang himself. Fortunately he was unable to kick the stool out from under himself.

Well I think it's funny as hell. I read it somewhere after the BSU kicker missed a FG last season.
Well if it's a BSU kicker it's a horse of a different color entirely.
Boise State is that annoying little brother that wants everything you've got, and whines to mom and dad until he gets it. I detest that school.
You know what, make a fucking kick. It was basically a glorified extra point that he choked.

35+ yard FGs are never automatic - even in the pros. Our offense and defense shouldn't have put us in the position to need 24 unanswered points.
Disappointing how fans turn on kids when they don't live up to expectation.

Ya, I get how it works. I don't have any hatred towards the kicker at all. Do I think he should have made it.....Yes. But I also think James shouldn't have fumbled. The defense shouldn't have given up so many points. etc.
Like many things, end of game situations are polarizing. FT's, FG's, Penalty shots......
I mean people like to blame the guy at the FT line under pressure for missing 1 at the line to tie or win. But in reality, maybe if some other guy hadn't thrown a bad pass early in the game, or someone hadn't missed a simple rotation on defense earlier in the game, that guy might not have had to make that FT?

He blew the kick and his range seems very, very limited.
Whether we pin the loss on him or not, doesn't it seem like the Ducks would want better kicking than they're getting?
Ed O.
That kid is ranked as the 99th most accurate kicker in the NCAA. Under 55% overall. That is pathetic. I knew the game was over when I realized we were going to have to settle for a FG attempt. Decent kickers in college football are around 80%
It's never the kickers fault when they miss a big kick. It's always the teams fault for putting them in that position. Ridiculous thinking. The team busted their ass to get back into the game, scored 21 unanswered points and put that scrub in position for an easy kick. He blew it.
I take it you never played football?
I played in high school. What does that have to do with anything?

A couple easy catches, no fumble by LaMichael in red zone, no blown coverage by the youthful corners and this game wouldn't of had to come down to a field goal. Its a team effort. Crucifying a kicker over a missed kick when everybody knows he can't hit from distance is silly. I'll bet you go through that Duck locker room and each and every player agrees.
