Los Angeles Angels slugger Albert Pujols will not represent the Dominican Republic at the World Baseball Classic, general manager Jerry Dipoto told the Los Angeles Times on Monday. The first baseman had arthroscopic surgery to clean up his right knee in October. His agent, Dan Lozano, told MLB.com earlier in January that Pujols planned to play if his knee was healthy.
