I love the fight in the guys, but they just don't have the horses. Hopefully upper management sees that, and doesn't miss out on adding some good young players to help this team in the near future

Well considering they missed using the injury exception from Oden, the chances of that are now pretty low since we now cannot do a one sided deal if needed. On the bright side of things, the Blazers may soon be able to registers a new injury exception for Roy, which will be much larger.

Bayless' three millionish trade exception is still out there (which is roughly equivalent to Oden's injury exception) ... but I think the odds are long it gets used either, unless some team is desperate to shed salary at the deadline by dumping a somebody for a pick.

If Roy goes down we will get one for half of his salary. Half of 13 million is a pretty damn nice exception to use.

exactly.... the heart is there.... maybe even 40-43 wins... BUT we have no bench. That will come back to bite us.

It doesn't have to come back to bite us. It already has all year long. It's bad enough when your bench stinks. But when they stink so bad that your starters end up playing extended minutes and losing games at the end because they are tired, that is truly a bad bench.
