The agent for Alexey Shved indicated talks with the Knicks about a return have screeched to a halt and the Russian combo guard is likely to return to Europe this season.

Shved has turned down three Knicks offers, none approaching what he is seeking — the $2.8 million room exception.

“We didn’t get to the right number with the Knicks,’’ said Obrad Fimic, Shved’s Serbian agent. “Maybe next season. We are considering a return to Europe where we have two huge offers.’’

The Post reported after the Knicks traded for Shved the Rockets primarily made the move because they felt he was strongly considering a return to Europe. Shved averaged 14 points in 17 games for the Knicks before suffering a season-ending injury to his rib.

Knicks president Phil Jackson said Monday night at Las Vegas summer league his priority is signing a backup center after losing out on re-signing Cole Aldrich, who is headed to the Clippers.

Knicks coach Derek Fisher said the Knicks can use another speedy guard to play more up-tempo this season — ostensibly to use the triangle less.

Counting shooting guard Ricky Ledo, who has a partially guaranteed pact, as part of the roster, the Knicks have two spots open.
