Who do you guys think should be reserves? You pick 2 guards, 2 forwards, a center, and 2 wild cards (any position). East G - Jason Kidd G - Richard Hamilton F - Caron Butler F - Jermaine O'Neal C - Dwight Howard WC - Ben Gordon WC - Michael Redd (if healthy, if not, then I don't know yet) West G - Steve Nash G - Allen Iverson F - Carlos Boozer F - Carmelo Anthony C - Dirk Nowitzki WC - Josh Howard WC - Shawn Marion

But Washington is a better team, so I suppose they deserve two allstars more than New Jersey.
Ben Gordon is a great player but not an All Star. I'd put VC over him or Butler. East: G: Kidd G: Carter F: Pierce(if healthy) F: Jermaine O'Neal C: Dwight Howard WC: Caron Butler WC: Joe Johnson West: G: Steve Nash G: Allen Iverson F: Carmelo Anthony F: Dirk Nowitzki C: Amare Stoudemire WC: Boozer WC: Shawn Marion

I'll be either Jason Kidd or Carter from the Nets, but I think Kidd deserves more than Carter.

And I'm telling you right now, Paul Pierce has no chance an hell at being in all-star, even if he is healthy before the ASG.

East: G - Jason Kidd G - Rip Hamilton F - Caron Butler F - Jermaine O'Neal C - Dwight Howard WC - Vince Carter WC - Ben Gordon Even though Joe Johnson is having an amazing year statistically, I don't think he deserves to be on the team based on his team's record. It seems like that's always been an important qualification in the past with guys like Rasheed Wallace and Tony Parker making the team over guys like Dwight Howard and Chris Paul. I also don't think that neither Paul Pierce nor Michael Redd has played enough games this season to make the team. West: G - Steve Nash G - Allen Iverson F - Shawn Marion F - Carlos Boozer C - Dirk Nowitzki WC - Josh Howard WC - Zach Randolph These rosters are assuming that Amare Stoudamire will start over Yao with D'Antoni doing the selecting. I'd love to see Ray Allen, Kevin Martin, Baron Davis, and Elton Brand make the team, but their teams are just having too subpar of years for them to make such a crowded lineup as that one. I can see the a case being made for Deron Williams and Tony Parker making the team, both being from top tier teams, but my gut tells my that Randolph's just having too good of a year to be ignored. Also, with how stacked the West is this year, I have a hard time seeing guys like Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and Rashard Lewis making the team with all of the games they've missed.
I dont agree with the rip hamilton pick. I would prefer ben gordon or Vince. they both are able to create their own shots and are more entertaining to watch. announcer: "rip on the fast break all alone lets see what hes gonna do to make the fans go wild.......... a pull-up jumper? (where in the hell is vince when you need him?)"

He's actually a very versatile offensive player and didn't start using screens the way he's been doing recently until about two or three years ago. I don't remember seeing much of that back in his UConn days, or even his Washington days for that matter. Even if you find him boring, the All-Star game, aside from the starting roster, is supposed to reward players for their performances in the first half of the season, and Rip Hamilton has undeniably performed at a higher level than just about any other two-guard in the East, and not only that, but he's a representative of the Pistons' success. They're the second best team in the East right now, and they don't really have any other legitimate All-Star candidates, so ultimately, Hamilton will make it not only for his personal success but for the Pistons' success as well. In my opinion, he's one of the biggest locks.
East: G - Jason Kidd G - Rip Hamilton F - Caron Butler F - JO7 C - Dwight WC - Ben Gordon WC - Vince West: G - Steve Nash G - Allen Iverson F - Josh Howard F - Dirk Nowitzki C - Carlos Boozer WC - Carmelo Anthony WC - Zach Randolph
I hope Boozer makes It, he has been great all season long. I expect Suns to get 3 in. Expect Amare on the team. If not by selection, Stern will vote him in to replace Yao.

(I'm not 100% sure though.) On the flip side of that though, if the Suns drop a few games coming down the stretch here, we could wind up seeing Josh Howard as the West's starting center.
Actually D'Antoni gets to pick who the starter will be. Stern picks the injury replacement. Will be interesting though. There was an article on ESPN about It. What does D'Antoni Do? pick his own guy to start at center in Amare or go with the right pick and choose Dirk? either way It will stir up abit of trouble. Mainly If he doesn't pick Dirk.

Even Tracy said that Nash should be starting instead of him which was a great thing to say.

That's basically taking one spot away from the coach's vote. <div class="quote_poster">phunDamentalz Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Does Dirk ever play center though?
