If UO ends up no worse than 3rd in the PAC-12, I think we go to da Big Dance. If we're 4th, I forsee an NCAA snubbing.

12-6 in conference should be the goal, and a win at least one game in the Pac-12 tournament.

That puts UO at 23-10 if they lose in the Pac 12 semifinals. That's best case in terms of conference record, IMO. Beating Cal at Cal as one of those wins will be crucial, as will be beating CU at Matt Arena.

I'm still not sure that puts UO in the Big Dance, though. It's going to be difficult to even go 12-6 the rest of the way, anyhow. Beating WSU is crucial tomorrow. That puts UO at 9-4/18-7, with 3 road games upcoming @Cal/@Stanford/@OS. Winning 2 out of those 3 would be huge, but losing all 3 is certainly not out of the question, either.

I only see two Pac-12 teams making the dance.

Me too. UW has been a complete disappointment this year, though. Romar is not a good coach. Great recruiter, horrible coach given the talent he gets to UW.

I agree. We have to win 2 of those 3.

If we win 4 of our last 5 (losing to Cal), then I say we're in. If we win 3, then probably out.

Take care of business in a wide open Pac-12 tourney and they control their own destiny.

Nice win over the Beavers. I think if we sweep next week and win a couple of games in the Pac-12 tourny, we're in.

Good showing by the Pac last night. I only saw a few minutes of the Oregon game, but they were up 20 at the time (it was pretty early) so I figured the game was in hand. We (UW) looked shaky for a bit, but in the 2nd half we stopped fouling so much and it got better. Despite it being close until the very end, I wasn't ever that nervous about the game (unlike past games). Throw in Stanford's win, plus WSU in the CBI, the Pac had a pretty nice night (as good as it can get considering). Hopefully Arizona and Cal come out and play well tonight.

    Here's to a UW-Oregon Quarter final.

My only thought on this is that Nebraska is not, by any stretch, a better job than Oregon. They last made the NCAA tourney in 1998, have only reached it 6 times in 115 years, and have lost in the first round every time. Yeah, he's from there, but it's a significant step down. If he wanted to coach in Nebraska, he would have stayed at Creighton (which was/is a better program than Nebraska).

Good game last night. It was good to see a good Pac12 basketball game on a nationally televised broadcast (even if most of the country doesn't care about the NIT). You guys looked pretty damn good. Who are you losing this year? Because if it isn't much, then it looks like you'll be in contention for the Pac12 title next year. Hopefully next year brings about the rise of the Pac12. If (big, big big if) Wroten and/or Ross come back, we'll be really good. You guys look good. I expect UCLA to bounce back, same with Arizona. I think Colorado should be pretty good as well. Plus, I don't think USC and Utah can be as bad as they were this past year (270 and 274 in RPI), which should help the conference.

Here's to next season where the Pac will get at least 4 in the tourney!
