What do you think are the most memorable comebacks in series or game in Laker history I would say Game 7 of Western Conference finals against Portland. Down by 15, Shaw hits the 3, and Kobe alley oop to Shaq, Never will forget it
The Portland game in 2000 WCFinals Game 7 is a classic. I would add 2 more. One is of recent vintage, from the December (2002 I think) home game against Dallas, where LA rallied from 20+ points down to extend Dallas' misery in LA, a streak for over 10 years that only came to an end against the Fab Four in December 2003. That game had Dallas running on all cylinders in the first half only to sputter towards the end. Another classic is that Finals game way back in the 80's (I think Game 5 of 85 Finals) where Magic led a Laker rally that culminated in his historic baby hook shot that broke the Celtics' back and finally broke the Celtic Finals jinx. These 3 games I probably would never tire of watching over and over.
The alley oop to shaq in portland in my opinion started the dynasty....from that very moment i felt noone could stop LA for years to come...and they didnt. The other would be last years series against San Antonio....down 2 games to zero to arguably the best team in the league...and we got stomped those 2 games. We came back and won 4 straight with the Dfish shot in game 5...sweet. The Comeback against Mav's down by a ton in the 4th (20+ i think) it was either the greatest 4th qtr comeback or 2nd of all time and LA won (i have it on tape ) And another would be the comeback against portland last year last game of the season with kobe hitting 2 of the greatest buzzer beaters ever, 1 to send it to OT and the other to win the pacific division title....just amazing.
I belive it was two seasons ago when they played the hot dallas mavericks and they were down by 30 coming into the 4th. I was jumping up and down in that game, best comeback i've seen in years.
