I dont know if this has been done before but Who is your all-time favorite college player. Player, school, reason, where are they now/what happened to them...etc Mine were Tyus Edney and Cameron Dollar of UCLA. Dollar was Edney's backup until Edney graduated. Both players were the ultimate team player, likeable, and were the epitome of intangibles a point guard should possess. Also, they were very clutch... Edney was drated in the mid-second round in 95' and started as a rookie for the kings. He put up solid numbers too, but fell off some and was out of the league by 97. Last time I saw him, he was playing preseason for the pacers a couple of years ago. I believe he's playing overseas now. Dollar withdrew his name from the 96' draft (altho i'm sure he' wasn't going to get drafted anyways) and became a coach for some school. He was head coach of a couple of schools, and I think he's an assitant somewhere now.
Shawnta Rogers from George Washington - 5'4 and built like a brick outhouse. Put up some nice numbers too. ATM it's Aussie Andrew Bogut playing at Utah. Touted as a lottery pick, was MVP of the world juniors recently.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Kid Canada:</div><div class="quote_post">Grant Hill. He was a great college player along with Laetner. That was one crazy duo.</div>I know you could have seen footage of Hill and Laettner, but basically you were seven or eight when they were at Duke. My favorite player of all-time is Mateen Cleaves. What is there not to like about the guy. He was a mediocre player with a big heart that led the Michigan State Spartans to two Final Fours and one National Championship. He was a high first-round pick, but he was one of those pure college players who's games didn't translate onto the professional level. In a way, I am glad that happened because now he will be remembered for his All-American years at Michigan State rather than blowing up in the NBA as is the case with Steve Smith and Eric Snow.

Both led their teams to the NCAA championship but just weren't cut out for the NBA. They were what you called "pure college players." My friends and I call it the "Ed Cota syndrome," u know he's solid but he's not NBA.
Shane Battier has got to be my favorite college player. He was amazing doing everything possible to win and make his team better. There should be more players/people like him.
Drew Gooden. I can't exactly put my finger on why, but he just caught my attention and became my favorite player on the NCAA level. Since he came from El Cerrito High there were a lot of articles on him in the papers over here when he did well so I just cut those out and saved 'em for some reason. I haven't followed him nearly as much since he's been in the NBA, but he still remains one of my favorite players.
Andre Miller Another class act with a lot of heart, always seemed to be the smartest person on the court. I wish I would have been able to witness the Phi Slamma Jamma though, they would have easily been my favorite, led by Drexler and Olajuwon.
Phi-Slamma Jamma or the UNLV days with Larry Johnson would've been my favorites. Of course I've seen countless numbers of highlights of those teams, but nothing can substitute for actually seeing them while it happened.
Greg Anthony, Stacey Augmon, Larry Johnson That team was ill, lots of emotion/swagger too, just like how the Fab Five expressed themselves.
Nick Collison has always been mine. He is not doing anything in the NBA, but he was huge for the Jayhawks. Played solid D, great rebounder and scorer. Was a great duo with Hinrich especially last year. Some extra in the Championship game last year (Syracuse Orangemen vs Kansas Jayhawks) Collison had the first 9 pts of the Jayhawk's 12 as they trailed to the Orangemen who had a fresh solid start in the 1st half.
Jason Kidd is my all-time favorite college player. I followed him from his high school battles with J.R. Rider and attended almost all of his games at Berkley. He was on another level compared to any players he went up against and did everything for Cal.

Whoa I was not aware of this. To tell you the truth, I dont keep up with him on Seattle. I know he played for the USA Tournament. Was he hurt then? What happened?

Anyways, my fav college player is Dean Oliver. He played hard night in and night out for the Hawkeyes. Plus, he is 2nd all time in assists at Iowa and 4th all time in scoring I do believe. Unfortunately, he's never really had much of a pro career. Oh well though. I'll just remember him for his college ball, especially leading Iowa to the Big Ten Champs as they went and won 4 games in 4 days at the Big Ten Tourney 3 years ago.
I remember Dean Oliver when he played for the Warriors. He was actually one of my favorite players on the Warriors and I never thought he got a fair shake. He started a couple games when the Warriors got hit with injuries (no surprise there) and did a pretty good job. I remember he put two great moves on John Stockton in a game against the Jazz once, probably the higlight of his career.
