What would be the all time NBA draft? Out of everyone who has played in the NBA who would you draft first to start your franchise with? Let's try and put together a top 20 list or more.

I'm still pondering whether or not I'd chose Michael Jordan first...

Surprising to see Duncan so low or not even on peoples list.

#9, #11, and #12 are low? Where would you have the guy? I think he's about in the right place on everyone's lists, except for Flow's.

What's more surprising to me is the lack of respect for Larry Bird. It shows the kind of attitude the new generation of basketball fans have. They didn't live through the Larry/Magic era, so they have a very skewed perspective on the two.

Pretty much agree with this list, except I'd put Garnett where Petit is (because I haven't seen him play). I'd also include Reggie Miller and Jerry West in this list as well.

Maybe it's because I'm a Knick fan, but I think Miller is kinda overrated.

West should be up there though, IMO.

I'd rather have Magic over Bird, and Rick Barry should get probably be up there too.

What are you smoking? Anyone who chooses Kobe over Duncan, Magic, Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain has more issues than Mad magazine.

I'd go with Nene first, and then Kwame Brown, or maybe Darko...

Nah, it's not just because you were a Knicks fan. It's because he's nowhere near a top 20 all-time NBA player. Only a few seasons in his career could he even claim to be a top 20 player that season. It's funny how players like Steve Smith fade out and get no attention from the press but players like Reggie Miller get huge send-offs and loads of critical acclaim. It's kind of random actually. I always thought Smith was twice the player Miller was.

Also, on my list, I was moreso basing it on career accomplishments and not single-season successes. Based on one, two, or three year stretches though, I'd probably have the likes of Tiny Archibald, Grant Hill, Shawn Kemp, Fat Lever, and maybe even Tracy McGrady, among others. I wasn't sure exactly what the draft was based on though.
