Sampson won ROY, and was actually second-leading scorer (I remember so) on the team in 1986 which went to the Finals. Yao, although he has been good, has not yet averaged over 20 points.

Word, who knows what the rockets could've done had Sampson not got injured. Him and the dream ran the court like no other big man duo. They could've possibly gone on to win several championships and Hakeem might be held in higher regard than Jordan even.
