Eleven-time Pro Bowler Allen signs ceremonial deal with Cowboys Associated Press IRVING, Texas -- Dallas signed guard Larry Allen to a ceremonial contract Friday so that the 11-time Pro Bowler can retire as a Cowboy. Larry Allen, OG Dallas Cowboys Height: 6-3 Weight: 325 College: Sonoma State Experience: 14 Allen played in Dallas from 1994 to 2005 and received 10 Pro Bowl selections with the club. He spent the last two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and earned a trip to the Pro Bowl following the 2006 season. Allen, a seven-time All-Pro, is the most decorated offensive lineman in Dallas Cowboys history. The Cowboys released him following the 2005 season. Hall of Famer Bob Lilly is the only Cowboy to earn more Pro Bowl selections (11) than Allen, and Mel Renfro is the only other player in club history to earn 10 Pro Bowl trips. soooooooooo he's going to show up for a practice and then retire? wonder if they could convince him to play back up for the year for a minimum contract with a guarantee that he'd sit out most practices or something ?? wouldn't be bad to have him around if the injury bug hits.
