With just one more practice before the Alouettes face the Argonauts at McGill Stadium at 1 p.m. this Saturday (CJAD 800 AM), the team is putting the final touches on the game roster for this weekend.

On Thursday, the team worked on game situations, creating the closest thing possible to an actually CFL matchup. Following some offence-vs-defence action, the focus shifted to special teams for a solid hour.

The Alouettes will now get ready to head home, in more than one sense: first they'll head to their respective residences, then on Saturday they'll enter their brand new expanded stadium for the first time.

Fullback/long-snapper Martin Bedard is looking forward to the homecoming and is hoping it involves some time on offence like in the first pre-season game in Winnipeg last weekend.

"I was almost surprised to catch my first pass. It was a great feeling to touch the ball on offence, but even better so because it allowed my team to get a first down," he said.

"We have a lot of players who can carry the ball on this team, so my focus is more on long-snapping. That said, the less action I get at that part of the game, the better the team is doing because it means we're punting less!"

Tomorrow The Alouettes will hold a pre-game walk-through from 10:15 to around 11 a.m. at Nichols Grass Field at Bishop's University before heading home to Montreal for the first time in roughly two weeks.

Saturday The Alouettes will close out the pre-season as they host the Toronto Argonauts at the brand new McGill Stadium at 1 p.m. (CJAD 800 AM). Tickets are still available - call 514-790-1245 now!
