"Another game against Houston, and another 10 point loss for the Nets as the team closed out their overseas excursion with a 95-85 loss in front of 16,516 in Guangzhou,China early this morning.

Following an offensive pattern that seems to be all but a trademark for the Nets throughout the preseason, Brook Lopez led the team in scoring with 20 points in almost 38 minutes. Anthony Morrow chimed in with 19 while Devin Harris and Terrence Williams tallied 16 each.

In a way, it was what head coach Avery Johnson had predicted after he talked about the team's waning energy on the trip, which has taken them through Russia and two cities in China (Beijing and Guangzhou) in roughly a week.

During a conference call with reporters on Friday morning, he could sense the team was ready to come home.

"I know in the back of their minds," Johnson said, "they know we're going to be returning home after our game tomorrow.""
