Alvin Gentry has decided to accept a position with the Los Angeles Clippers as associate head coach, according to a source. Gentry is familiar with the Clippers' organization as a former head coach of the franchise and he will also be largely asked to play a role with Blake Griffin similar to his work with Amar'e Stoudemire. Gentry also had a standing offer for an assistant coach job with the Los Angeles Lakers. Gentry was a finalist for the head coaching positions with the Memphis Grizzlies and Charlotte Bobcats.
