<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Clippers Sign Alvin Williams to 10-Day Contract CLIPPERS.com writes, "The Los Angeles Clippers today signed guard Alvin Williams to a 10-day contract, it was announced by Vice President of Basketball Operations Elgin Baylor."</div>I guess the Clippers need an extra boost, but why another PG? They already have Cassell and Shaun Livingston, not to mention David Ewing.

It's good to see Alvin back in the league, I thought he would be with an team already but guess not. LA seems loaded with point guards so I don't know why they need another pg either but maybe someone is hurt or something, I don't really keep up with the Clippers.

Williams is never going to get to play behind 3 other point guards and will not have much success even if he does play in some games late in the season. He was probabaly only signed just in case one of their guards gets injured again which has been a problem for Sam Cassell.

I dont know why the Clipps would waste their money or time on this guy. He is old, not very good anymore, and he is the 4th string point guard on the team. Maybe they are looking for a guy who can bring leadership...That is the only thing that I can think of.
