<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MINNEAPOLIS - The Suns embark today on their longest and most difficult trip of the season, and it is likely they'll go through it with Amare Stoudemire cheering them on in street clothes. Stoudemire is with the team today as the Suns visit the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first stop of a five-game, seven-day trip. But the second-year forward, who has a hyperextended big toe on his right foot and a sprained left ankle, said he doubts he'll be able to play during the trip. "My vertical leap is like 3 inches right now," Stoudemire said. "There's really no timetable. There's just a lot of stuff I can't do right now, so I'm going to take my time and not rush it. It's not a serious injury, but it's a healing process."</div> http://www.nba.com/suns/news/azcentral_sto...ire_040125.html This has probably been the toughest stretch for Amare in his young career. Hopefully this won't become too much of a problem in the future. The way the Suns hung around the TWolves on Sunday I'm confident that they will still play hard and stay in games without Amare. It doesn't change the fact that it's still a big blow to a lost season.
This is terrible, but he's a great player who like Ray Allen, has the ability to adapt and get back on his feet quite quickly. Look at what happened to poor Wade, Butler and Wagner. Hopefully he won't be affected too much, he's one of the reasons his team is still pretty decent, along with the Matrix and company.
