Get your troops out of Syria, stop threatening Iran, you're not helping anyone in the middle east. Put America 1st and 2nd and 3rd. With all due respect, nobody needs an empire
America must never ever never ever go through a 9-11 again. We should do all in our power no matter how long it takes to prevent it and that includes making sure ISIS never makes a comeback.
Seems to me we’ve been helping Israel since the late ‘40’s. To the tune of billions, if not trillions. You guys are ornery, tough mf’s but I’d sure like to see where you’d be right now without American assistance and support......that said, I would personally love it if we left and let all parties in that sandbox go at each other and let the best “man” win.
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” - Sun Tzu
with all due respect, show me one aspect of imperialism we have in the middle east. We've given up almost all of our bases, even to the logistical detriment of our people on the ground. It's cool to pull troops out of Syria now, when we weren't ever really there in large number and did the mission anyway. No one was asking that two years ago when children were getting gassed. How many Russian, Chinese and Indian companies are buying up resources in the region compared to American ones? Don't get me wrong, I think there's plenty we could not do and plenty we could do better. But when you say that we are threatening Iran, and that it's due to American imperialism, you kind of lose the ground to have a rational discussion.
Would you be in favor of the US cutting all ties to the middle east entirely, including Israel? barfo
I think we could achieve the same by just building a big, beautiful wall around the rest of the world. barfo
I didn't say that to undermine American importance as an ally to Israel. I personally am very fond of American colture, music, cinema, basketball obviously, but I think now it's in Israel's best interest that you didn't threaten Iran to the point they'd feel the need to threaten us, like Iraq did during the Golf war, like they did during the Ahmedinijad administration when your troops were fighting in two neighbouring countries. Hassan Ruhani is not Ahmedinijad, he's even a liberal. I need you to find a way to pressure them into waivering their missiles plan for example but not in a way that would threaten them, I also don't think that this is the best way to make them listen
